Hey there,
I hope you're having a great week. It's tax season, and I have a huge stack of 1099 forms from client work last year.
Since I'm self-employed, I don't get a tax return. Still, this doesn't mean that I don't ever get a financial windfall. This week on the blog, I'm sharing some wise ways to put your tax refund to good use.
Even if you don't get a refund, you can still use your income to do some of these things to improve your finances.
In other news, I'm creating a fun emergency fund resource that I plan to share in the upcoming weeks.
If you have time to listen to this month's episode of the My Debt Epiphany Audio Show, I'll be explaining what this tool is and how it can help you boost your emergency fund savings if this has been a goal.
โCheck out Episode 2 here - We're discussing emergency funds + this month's freebie
โ
This month's freebie is a finance date worksheet. If you haven't already, start planning regular finance dates with your partner to make sure you're on the same page when it comes to money. Click the link below to download it. โโ

This week I also published 30 frugal ways to spoil your spouse and 30 budget date ideas. I love this post because it's a great reminder that the little things really make a big difference. Oftentimes, our partner is one of the first people we take for granted and it doesn't take much to do a small act of kindness to make their day. โ

If you love the idea of simple ways to save and invest youโll want to check out Acorns! Itโs an easy and painless financial wellness system designed to help you grow your savings and investments through roundup amounts you set for all the purchases you make. See for yourself why itโs a great option for yourself, here.
If you haven't tried focus groups yet, I don't know what you're waiting for. Each month, I share opportunities and have resources on the blog (like this one) to help you get started. My husband is actually doing a paid focus group this week and is going to earn $70 for 30 minutes of his time. Not bad!
โ
That's it for now. I hope you have an amazing week!

Hey, I hope you had a nice weekend. As many of you know, I value what you think and want to see on the blog and I truly feel most accomplished when I'm helping someone else improve their finances through my content. If you have a minute, there's a quick survey I'd love for you to take. What do you need help with and what do you want to know? Your input will help direct the type of topics I continue to cover on the blog and in videos. YES, I said videos. More on that soon! You can take the...
Hey and Happy Friday ๐ I hope you're enjoying summer! Today I thought we'd chat a bit about something that's been on my mind lately: investing. I know, I know, you might be thinking, "I just don't have the extra cash right now," right? Interestingly, that might not be the main thing holding most people back. Often, it's not just about the moneyโit's about the stuff we don't know, the stuff that scares us, and the stuff we just don't understand. Then, there's the simple fact that many of us...
